Review of Red Dragon (2002) by Carmelo L — 18 Nov 2011
Works better as a sequel (actually, prequel) to Silence of the Lambs than Hannibal did. Red Dragon has the same sense of foreboding dread and psychological terror that made Lambs so nail-biting, and the acting is solid throughout.
Nothing in it is as memorable as Lambs, but whatever. If it works it works, and Red Dragon, imperfect as it is, is a fine addition to an endlessly fascinating trilogy.
