Review of Red Dragon (1965) by Jay L — 27 Jun 2010
Brett Ratner brings a solid movie and an all star cast to the table with Red Dragon. Powerhouse acting all around, this movie stars Edward Norton, one of my favorite actors in Hollywood today, along with Harvey Keitel, Anthony Hopkins, and Ralph Fiennes.
An Fbi agent who retires after he brings hannibal the cannibal to justice is called back to work after a family of four is coldly murdered. After the brutal events of the tooth fairy killer occur, the FBI agent looks to the aid of the cannibal behind bars to help bring the killer to justice.
Ralph fiennes gave a chilling performance in this movie, one of his best movies. Red Dragon is one of the better of the Hannibal movies along with Silence of the Lambs, but something went wrong with the newer movies. They lack the mood and the overall atmosphere the earlier two Hannibal movies had.
