Review of Red Dragon (1965) by Jeffrey T — 11 Apr 2011
This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I expected more of a horror movie, instead it was a good thriller. Again Hopkins puts on an incredible performance and is always freaky as all get out. Edward Norton plays a great roll, one of his best, since he has fallen off the A-list map and has chosen a lot of extremely bad rolls and made poor decisions for the last several years in his veteran acting career.
It definitely had more potential I think then the director gave it. It kinda died off at the end and lost it's edge. There was a small twist at the end that you couldn't have ever seen coming, but it wasn't too surprising.
Great supporting cast. Not too disturbing, but it does make you think of how disturbed and morbid some people are in the world.
