Review of Red Dragon (1965) by Bradley W — 12 May 2012
Red Dragon is the best sequel to the masterpiece The Silence of the Lambs. It has great actors Edward Norton, Emma Thommas, and Ralph Fiennes, and they bring back one of the greatest actors of all time Anthony Hopkins.
Lets face it, we all saw this movie because we love Hannibal Lector, this crazy cannibalistic psychopath has earned our attention and our love for him as a character. The plot is great and is honestly a very well done prequel, and the cast do some great performances.
Although Hopkins looks a little too old to be in a prequel of the classic film, that does not stop it from being incredibly better than Ridley Scott's Hannibal that failed to be a great sequel. I enjoyed this film and hope they someday make a great conclusion to his story.
