Review of Red Dragon (1965) by Nate J — 06 Nov 2013
Solid thriller that serves as a prequel to The Silence Of The Lambs that is far more successful than the last ridiculous sequel, Hannibal. Edward Norton is always a strong presence on screen and Anthony Hopkins is a perfect ying to his yang.
The new villain, played brilliantly by Ralph Fiennes is subtley creepy and the dragon tattoo on his body is something else. It does follow the formula of Lecter assisting in finding a serial killer, but the film is never less-than effective and I enjoy the mystery.
