Review of Red Desert (1964) by Lori B — 13 Mar 2011
Red Desert is not an easy movie to watch. Antonioni, in his first color effort, uses a deeply disturbing and unpleasant color pallet to tell the ultimate tale of post-industrial alienation. But art isn't always beautiful or easy, and this unforgettable, powerful movie is very worth the effort for devoted cinephiles.
