Review of Red Desert (1964) by Jesse B — 27 Aug 2011
Monica Vitti is beautiful. Most beautiful. With her pale fragility she embodies a most poetic depression. A fearsome loneliness, neither spoken of nor nor left portrayed -- but lived in. I am in awe and gaze upon this soul in wonder.
How can this film be? But it exists. And I am the better for it.
