Review of Red Dawn (2012) by Ashley C — 29 Jun 2013
Red Dawn is a remake from the 1984 film that starred Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen, not to mention Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing) and Lea Thompson (Back To The Future). Instead of the Russians and Cubans invading the United States, we see North Korea invading, which is a bit of a twist from the original.
Just like the original, this film makes you think. "Can this really happen?" Just thinking about it gives one chills. I actually think this film is just as good as the original. The plot is still the same, North Korea invades the United States of America and a group of teens head up to the mountains/hills and become a group of fighters taking back their country, which they're known as The Wolverines, which is the mascot of their high school.
Another action packed film starring Chris Hemsworth (Thor) as Jed and Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights) as Toni.
