"TEENS AT WAR AGAINST KOREAN INVADERS".

- 'Red Dawn' is a 2012 action/war film directed by Dan Bradley and a remake of the 1984 film of the same name starring Patrick Swayze, Lea Thompson and Charlie Sheen. Although I was interested to see what this movie was about, I really didn't like the result, as it's just not believable. A bunch of inexperienced good-looking teens rebel against invading Korean soldiers? Yeah right! It's not only shallow, it's just plain stupid! Starring Chris Hemsworth (The Cabin in the Woods, Thor), Josh Peck (Meen Creek, ATM), Adrianne Palicki (Legion, G.I. JOE: Retaliation), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games saga, Zathura) and Isabel Lucas (Daybreakers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen).

Waking up to loud alarms, brothers Jed (Hemsworth) and Matt Eckert (Peck) witness the invasion of their hometown as Korean soldiers come parachuting down. While their father, police sergeant Tom, wants to help the frightened neighbors, he orders his sons to go to the hunting cabin in the woods. The boys get on the road in the old pickup truck. Along the way, Matt sees how his girlfriend Erica Martin (Lucas) and her family are captured. At the hunting cabin the brothers are joined by several of Matt's fellow students, including the beautiful Toni Walsh (Palicki) and Robert Kitner (Hutcherson).

Shortly after that, the kids hears noises and sneak out of the cabin. From a distance they witness how Tom Eckert pleads them to fight against the Koreans and then gets executed. Jed, who is a marine, plans to follow the wish of his father and begins to train the others into combat...
