Review of Red Dawn (1984) by Jake H — 26 Mar 2014
I don't care what anyone says, I freakin' love this movie. To hell with that bullshit remake! I know the entire scenario of the film is next to impossible, but it is undoubtedly interesting to consider.
Premise aside, the story I think is well told, and the characters were interesting enough, though they could have been given a bit more development. The best part of the movie, in my opinion, is the relationship between the two brothers Matt (Sheen) and Jed (Swayze).
You really felt that connection between the two, and it was interesting to see them leaning on one another during the numerous hardships they have to endure. Overall, I'd recommend this film to anyone who is a fan of action, drama, or even alternative history.
it may not be realistic, but it sure is entertaining.
