Review of Red Cliff (2008) by Matt G — 18 Nov 2009
The U.S. release is a shortened but combined version of the two parts, and though it's missing crucial story elements that I would love to see in its entirety, RED CLIFF is nothing short of a masterpiece. John Woo's wall-to-wall action is in its full form here, complete with doves.
Although the double feature is what you want to catch, this cliff notes version of Red Cliff is still pretty amazing.
