Review of Red Cliff (2008) by Jeff C — 25 Nov 2009
In 200 AD the power hungry Prime Minster Cao Cao convinces the young Emperor Han to declare war on his Southern rivals as a means to unit China. Under the guidance of the Wu strategist Zhou Yu, the two kingdoms of Xu and East Wu form an alliance to fight for peace and their sovereignty.
It was an OK movie. Nice cinematography and decent acting, but during the battle scenes I forgot who I was rooting for. It was neat to know that the title "General" means that you can take on and kill 50 soldiers on your own.
