Review of Red Cliff (2008) by David M — 03 Feb 2010
Somewhat disappointing with a relatively high cheese factor. Don't expect much moral ambiguity - there are the Good Guys and there are the Bad Guys and great pains have been taken to ensure you will recognize them within second of their appearance on the screen.
Plot devices play up cliches previously seen time and time again. Can't believe this is from the same John Woo that had previously helmed remarkable films like Hard Boiled and Face/Off.
