Review of Red Cliff (2008) by Martin K — 20 Mar 2010
This movie was also going to be released under the title Asian Troy. Red Cliff did nothing to make me care about the plot or the characters. The battle scences were few and far between and the whole slow-motion-shot-with-blood-splurting everytime-a-warrior-gets-sliced is a little outdated.
The dialogue is a tad cheesy. The movie does redeem itself with the music and beautiful landscape of China, but that could have been enjoyed in the comfort of my own home in a few months. Though, I doubt I would have remembered to rent it.
