Review of Red Cliff (2008) by Alex I — 10 Sep 2010
Fantastic battle scenes, but the story is really difficult to follow/care about. I think I'm just getting tired of these big Chinese period films. There's a sameness to all of them that's taken shape in the past 10 years.
Note: This review is of the shortened version released outside of China. I might have enjoyed the story more if I had seen the original 2-part version.
