Powerful stuff. It is about all the types of healing that a doctor can do. Mifune is awesome with a beard, and there is one crowd-pleasing scene where he beats down multiple thugs. It hardly fits in with the other 180 minutes of well-paced, deeply affecting, morality-questioning exploration.
