Review of Red Army (2015) by Emmanuel S — 21 May 2016
Interesting documentary, illuminates how Russia's hockey program impacted the lives of players, coaches, KGB minders, etc. from the 1970s through to the rise of Putin. Canada is recognized as a hockey leader, but marginalized in this movie.
I hope someone else follows this with a documentary about Putin's regime and sports, including Sochi Olympics, pervasive doping by Russian athletes, and Russian-international sports relations.
