Review of RED (2010) by Bikerjames — 18 Oct 2010
This movie is everything the trailer suggests it will be. A funny, somewhat campy romp where the old guys outwit the younger ones. The funniest part for me was seeing Helen Mirren in her formal dress shooting at the enemy on a humongous machine gun on a tripod in a parking garage.
It just looked funny. Malkovich played the eccentric quirky personality to perfection and had some funny lines. The movie was not meant to be taken seriously, but instead be a good entertaining diversion and it succeeds.
I also thought Bruce Willis showed some of his playful side (ala moonlighting) that I haven't seen from him in awhile.
