Review of Red (2008) by Jack H — 13 Aug 2012
This should really be a 2.5/5 rating, as the script is entirely brain-dead and the plot is absurd...BUT, the film is saved from its own stupidity by its cast. Helen Mirren as a "Wetwork asset"? Brian Cox as a "Russian Agent"? Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Ernest Borgnine as career CIA operatives? Richard Dreyfuss chewing scenery like it's Soylant Green? Bruce Willis playing, well, the character he always plays...never mind that last part.
Hell, I'd watch this cast go ice fishing, let alone shoot up the United States...
