Review of Red (2008) by Mitch B — 16 Jan 2013
A romp! What fun! This action comedy starts out fast and never slows down. There is great chemistry between all of the films stars. Malkovich shines as the mentally unstable, paranoid ex-CIA operative.
Mirren is as wonderful as ever. Somehow seeing the Dame shooting an automatic weapon just works. Some of the action sequences are a bit silly, with their slow-motion and improbability. Still, they are at least novel in their approach.
