I eventually came along on the first Red film, it was kind of cheesy with Mary Louise Parker being dragged along by Willis and interesting to see more experience actors playing these over-the-top version of action heroes.
This film has none of that. It doubles up on the casting, but it feels like they really just watered down everything because there are just too many characters for a simple film. The Parker Willis dynamic which was fun is pretty much gone.
The fun of everything is gone. Unless seeing Brian Cox oogle Helen Mirren's feet is entertaining to you, I'd recommend you avoid this film.
