Review of Red (1996) by Sean M — 01 Aug 2013
A movie rife with overused spy gimmicks including the "I'm not really dead" routine. Evidently CIA Headquarters can be broken into using a single contact lens and some military garb. A room so secret the access code changes every few hours can easily be entered by simply kicking the door.
And as we've learned from every fugitive movie of the past thirty years, if you're ever trapped in a building that is being surrounded by government agents... just dress like a fireman and walk right out.
If it wasn't for Malkovich, this movie would have been awful. Instead, it was just less than ordinary.
