Review of [REC] (2007) by William E — 22 Oct 2010
It is low on characterisation or undertones, but [REC] has what makes a horror movie great - fear. Probably the scariest film I have ever come across, this harsh and unrelenting shaky-cam thrill ride moves through the plot like a warm knife through softened butter until it reaches it's terrifying conclusion - the most nightmare-inducing ten minutes of my life.
And it is fucking great.
