Review of [REC] (2007) by Adam E — 19 Aug 2011

The slow build up to this is great and makes everything after it have such an impact. Starts of amazingly well with attacks happening out of no where. Then it goes full on zombie mode half way through with the crazy taking over the quartined house.

The real scare for me thou and the thing that actually made me look over my shoulder while watching this was the discovery of the very strange room and what they find in there. Like a chris cunnigham creation its blooming freaky and gets the heart pumping! The rest of the scares throughout the film are great to (thou some can be seen a mile off).

Its just the brutal nature of the scenes and the fastness of it all then mixed with slow scenes of discovery. Expertly directed, gripping stuff :D.
