Review of [REC]² (2009) by Noah E — 22 Sep 2010

A much better offering than the Americanized version Quarantine, [Rec] is a tensely filmed horror flick that, while dull and arduous at times to sit through, delivers in the last few scenes. A short documentary style film which delivers on the scares in an atypical fashion, trading relentless amounts of blood and gore and sex for the subtle elements of plot and character development, as well as the tension brought by the camera style.
