Review of [REC]² (2009) by Sean W — 26 Oct 2010
Good film, but Quarantine portrays this a lot better, simply because it can be difficult to follow the action and the subtitles at the same time. Had I not watched Quarantine before this, I would probably rate it higher as this film paved way to the original plot and storyline, but given that they are practically identical films, some of the scares and horror were expected and therefore didn't quite have the impact second time around.
A decent film given that it is all shot through the cameraman, although can be somewhat difficult in parts to tell what's happening because it's predominantly set in the dark anddue to the shaky camera work during the fast action scenes.
