REC is a marriage of the zombie movie and the shaky camera movie - and it's a marriage made in horror heaven. The shaky camera scenario is very plausible and the action is fast paced and tense throughout.
REC succeeds where other shaky camera movies have failed. There's no wasted time in this movie (it runs only 78 minutes) and the payoff is perfectly executed.
