Manages to scare while tightening a claustrophobic noose around the viewers neck through it's relentless camerawork. Each performance is frenzied without ever going over the top and we genuinely care about the characters by the end.
The ending is excellent and ties directly into the second film, watch them back to back for maximum effect!
