Review of Rebel Without a Cause (1955) by Tim C — 07 Jun 2010
The film that cracked fifties society down to its core, or at least one of the films to do so. It took this film and its cultural impact for older generations to recognize puberty. Indeed the dramatic plot centered around three teenagers who suffer social ostracism because they do not conform to society's and people within that society's standards of them is groundbreaking filmmaking, with the three teens wonderfully played by James Dean, Natalie Wood, and Sal Mineo.
It is also the late Dennis Hopper's film debut. It is a classic.
