Rebel is kind of like West Side Story, if you took away the singing but kept the dance fighting. Step, kick, pir-ou-ette and brandish!
James Dean, looking like a damn cardboard stand-up for Coca Cola, plays Jim Stark, a new kid in town that really really really wants to hang out with the local cool kids, 'specially when they slash his tires. He meets Judy (Natalie Wood), he indirectly kills her boyfriend, they fall in love. And then the local twerp Plato (Sal Mineo) falls in love with Jim and there's a love triangle.
