Review of Rebel Without a Cause (1955) by Todd C — 17 Oct 2008
The classic teenage angst movie. The parents are to blame in the worlds worse families...Sal Mineo seems lucky not to have any parent figures by contrast to James Dean and Natalie Wood. The acting is hammy and overblown, but it seems to be the style moreso than the actors.
There something just funny about seeing Mr. Howell (Jim Backus) in a woman's apron begging James Dean not to upset his mother.
