Review of Rear Window (1954) by Tor M — 25 May 2013
A fantastic setting and a nerve that make sure you get sucked into it. There are kind of many things going on here and everything that's happening is shown from the leads window. He is possessed with many thoughts with his broken foot, and the things he see is captured in a great way.
Many unknown characters even if we get to know a few. Many great performances here, and I especially love Stella - she is so snappy with her comments. Grace Kelly is darn hot and can act as well. Always interesting, you want it to just go on and on - time flies! Great development, the paranoia reaches a certain level but the film goes on. Thrillers are seldom as original or good as this with a constant curve - reaching for that perfect climax.
This is amazing cinema, and it doesent get much better than this.
9.5 out of 10 flashbulbs.
