Review of Rear Window (1954) by Graham P — 23 Jul 2014
One location. For the most part, one character. Nearly three hours of subdued paranoia filmed in such a way that pulling yourself away from the binoculars becomes unthinkable by the final half hour. Doesn't sound like much, but blurbs can be deceptive.
Put it another way; Hitchcock knew what he was doing.
