Its a perfectly good After School Special. However, I do strongly recommend Netflixing the movie and skipping to scene #15--Real Women. HILARIOUS!!!
The rest of the movie is fairly bland because it so formulaic. Hard hit teen struggles with family and other trouble to go to college. Making the teen a Latina, didn't make the film any less predictable. Scene #15 did--the rest of it: ho, hum.
