Review of Real Steel (2011) by Open 7 — 01 Jun 2013
A competent film that grows on you as you go through it. By the end you definitely want david to overcome goliath.I found dakota's character mildly irritating, but maybe it was meant tobe that way.
Hugh plays a good attempt at robert downey junior - I would have liked him tohave made the role his own. The robots, you have to watch the making of to see that the legacy of stan winston lives on admirably.
I feel more couldhave been done with the character of atom. Which was implied but not seen explicitly. An enjoyable film overall.
