(2011) Real Steel.
SCIENCE- FICTION/ FAMILY.
Silly feel-good-movie of the week that may have worked had I been an underage child but I'm sure mature adults can find mature rockyesque movies to watch.
Good for nothing father played by Hugh Jackson finds out that the ex-wife is now deceased and is now being pursued through the courts by his wife's sister for sole custody of his only child. Part of this agreement was some money and to spend some quality time with him, which viewers know how it's going to turn out such as the rapport they build together as a result of partaking into "Real Steel". It attempts to hit plenty of sentimental notes without answering specific questions such as how come adults do this kind of thing and not teenagers! If the Hugh Jackson character does this "Real Steel" often how stupid why does he contine to do those same mistakes upon always going to the ring with thses bots?
Made like what one can find in a Walt Disney movie but is really a film that is surprisingly executive produced by Steven Spielberg.
2 out of 4 stars.
