Review of Real Genius (1985) by Shane H — 09 May 2009
A young man is drafted by a major academic college right out of high school because he is a genius in the field of lazer technology. He is put on a team with Val Kilmer to design a lazer that is more powerful than any other lazer.
Kilmer is a loose cannon and likes to joke around and play pranks rather than work. When they find out that the lazer is being built for purposes other than what they thought it was for they band together to stop its use.
A fun movie with a solid cast and character development from the 80's in true 80's format.
