Review of Ready Player One (2018) by Paul M — 09 Apr 2018

I really liked it. It's an SFX feast for the eyes, quite a fun ride, with a story theme ever-ready for our techy times. Standout performances by Mark Rylance as Halliday, and by Ben Mendelsohn as Sorrento - and while the two younger male and female lead roles would've been more interesting with less attractive actors, Sheridan and Cooke are still good.

Spielberg's direction is starting to feel a bit branded... but hey, it's Spielberg, and he's still fantastic.
