RP1 is like Nolan Sorento made a movie of the book with lots of RP1 sixers feeding gamer trivia into his ear along the way. The most egregious example of this is in the opening when they swap out the tomb of horrors for.
.."Rampage, the racing game?". Trading that for seeing Acerak playing Joust in the Tomb of Horrors is RP1 sacrilege. The best thing about it was the casting of Lena Waithe as H. SHE is great, but unfortunately they completely declawed her storyline and then turned Wade and Samantha into Abercrombie & fitch models IRL.
They also meet at the end of Act 1 which deflates a core emotional drive of the story. I could go on and on but basically...it's watchable but a disappointment if you liked the book. The sixers won on this one.
