Review of Ready Player One (2018) by Junior O — 26 Apr 2018
This is the best book-to-movie translation I've seen. So often I see movies that rip the title from a great book and cut most, if not all, of the story (ex: World War Z is the best example for this). The changes made for the movie more enjoyable for fans of the book, as they match the emotional and creative context of the book with equally clever situations for the protagonist and friends.
I read the book when I saw the first trailer and, I'll be honest, I immediately doubted anyone - even Spielberg - could bring this trip to the screen.
If you've seen the movie, the book won't be spoiled. If you've read the book, the movie won't be spoiled.
