You have to give it to Spielberg for taking on a project like this. It's easy to create the scope of this world with all the endless technology we have in filmmaking today, but not easy to give a story like this the detail and care he does in a lot of its scenes.

That being said, perhaps it eventually collapses from its own weight near the end of it. Not to mention an annoying surplus of cliches that have to force themselves in at every expected moment, which is very Spielberg.
