Review of Ready (2011) by Santosh N — 03 Sep 2011
EDITED.
"Ready" revolves around Prem, the sole heir to a sprawling empire owned by his father and uncles. Prem's father desires that he gets married and settles down, though Prem intends to enjoy his single status to the fullest. Enter Sanjana, an orphan, whose greedy uncles are constantly conspiring to acquire her property. In a dramatic twist of fate, the eternal bachelor Prem falls in love with Sanjana and is ready for marriage owing to a case of mistaken identity. Sanjana has just returned to India to live with her feuding uncles, who have their own devious plans for her marriage, in order for each to take over her inheritance. Prem, along with his entire family take it upon themselves to ensure that Prem and Sanjana are united.
Salman Khan is back after the blockbuster movie Dabangg. ready is a silly full on masala entertainer. I usually doesn't like silly comedies or no brainers but this was pleasant surprise to see a movie that actually I enjoyed watching after so long. recent and last year's Bollywood comedies were really annoying and bad but this one you may like.
It starts off very typically, I don't know about you guys but I actually didn't liked its beginning, for 30 or 40 minutes its nothing but a plain dull movie and I thought this is gonna be bad but it actually gets well after sometimes. Director Anees Bazme took this South Indian hit movie and made its remake I haven't seen that one but I think that one might be more better than this one. Anees Bazme's previous two movies, No problem and Thank you were awful movies but this one is better than those two.
Salman Khan is a again a really tough guy in this movie who can fight, fall in love, and makes you laugh and also teach everyone moral lessons as he does in it. he acts okay in it, fight real good and makes you laugh with his silly jokes that seems really overdone many times. he looks good. Asin is a beauty, she is good in dramas according to me, her comic timings are very bad but she acts well and looks really beautiful. there are cameos in the beginning by Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Arbaaz Khan, Zarine Khan and Kangana Ranaut. talking about music its above average, not very good. I like Character Dheela a silly song which is very catchy song and is choreographed well, video is good. Dhinka Chika which is a chartbuster right now is also good. hunko pyaar hua is really sweet romantic and the other one that is Meri adaa is a delight to listen and see. lovely tracks.
Movie has many other actors too I can't name them all but everyone tried to do a good job. I liked plot and story was nice to join these two brothers who are rivals and are underworld dons and other things that follows. the way he does it is something to look out for, its hilarious and enjoyable. movie is very funny but some dialogues may feel like very overdone. screenplay could have been better. overall a nice movie to release your tension and enjoyable silly comedy that has flaws but will entertain you. don't expect a Dabangg here. this is gonna do a mindblowing business that everyone knows, lets see how much. RECOMMENDED to Salman fans.
