Ultimately my favorite Disney Channel Movie of all time. The movie was quite interesting with its story of a girl who was literally the grunt of the school. After fantasizing a story with her as the star of the school (IS) who could zap people who she disliked into permanent detention.
As this gets published for a class assignment accidentally, she goes from a zero to nothing and experiences a loss of friends. When everyone finds out that they are in the book, that emphasizes their negative qualities, the world turns upside down for Jaime.
She ends up breaking relationships and then reforging them through this process, and it is this process that really makes up the story. I only disliked the fact that she was so dense that she couldnt tell that Conner liked her from the beginning of the movie for her true self.
The relationship parts with her brother (Lenny) who could play music, and also the parts with her friends, and the pizza parlor were spectacular. One of the best of the minor characters of course was the handler.
The alter ego parts, in which the imaginary IS was actually in the real world was quite interesting and really brought out the journal part of the story. It was really a truly amazing film and I loved it.
I suggest everyone pick it up today. Zap!
