Review of RBG (2018) by G H — 04 Sep 2018
Relying less on a focus of her specific decisions, this movie has something to say. The institutional barriers at the time, for a woman to attend Law School, become a judge, and then a Sup Ct justice are well demonstrated in this story.
RBG is also shown to speak for gender equality irrespective of which is being oppressed. A frequent theme is a quote from Sarah Grimke: "I ask no favors for my sex. I surrender not our claim to equality.
All I ask of our brethren is, that they will take their feet from off our necks, and permit us to stand upright on that ground which God designed us to occupy.".
