Biopic tracing the life of the genius Ray Charles, tracing everything from the beginning of his blindness to the performances of his landmark successes, from his love affairs to his drug addictions. Occasionally slipping in too melodramatic a territory, this powerful film is backed up by a wonderful performance by Jamie Foxx who portrays him magnificently.
One of the best of its kind.
