Review of Ray (2003) by Jonathan K — 27 Dec 2008
Finally got around to seeing this. Great performance, (though, I wonder if Ray Charles really talked in that high pitched nervous voice. Regardless, this movie accomplishes its biographical goals. Dramatics, were hard for me, cause I'd laugh when they came up usually.
Not laughing at their misery or drama, but because Walk Hard parodies this movie directly. I may have liked this movie less if I had not watched Walk Hard before it, as otherwise the dramatic scenes might seem somewhat pretentious.
