Review of Ray (2003) by Leena L — 28 Sep 2012

I remember being totally overwhelmed when I saw this for the first time. The music and the fact that it actually looks like a documentary in many ways. The story is sad but full of hope like only real life can be.

Jamie Foxx is brilliant and this gave me many new favourite songs, songs I had heard before but could not place to a story. On the second time around it lost a bit of its charm, due to the dubbed french version.

Luckily the songs were not dubbed! Still, impressive and for sure one of the best biopics in a long time. And the third time it still works....
