Review of Raw Deal (1986) by Markus L — 07 Dec 2009
So this is the plotline of Raw deal; Mark Kaminsky is kicked out of the FBI for his rough treatment of a suspect. He winds up as the sheriff of a small town in North Carolina. FBI Chief Harry Shannon, whose son has been killed by a mobster named Patrovina, enlists Kaminsky in a personal vendetta with a promise of reinstatement into the FBI if Patrovina is taken down. To accomplish this, Kaminsky must go undercover and join Patrovina's gang. (IMDB).
This is Arnolds second best film, next to Commando, which came only one year before Raw deal, the 80's was an excellent decade, which we will never see the likes of again. This movie has a very good end battle with a lot of guns going off at the same time. Arnie's drive-by in the ending is an classic action scene, it's something magical about it with Arnie shooting out the front window of his car, so he can see better while shooting all the bad guys. Another thing that makes this scene so good is the soundtrack, Arnie turns on his car stereo and plays "I can't get no satisfaction" with Rolling stones, which fits the scene perfectly as Arnold can't get enough satisfaction of killing bad guys.
This movie is like Commando packed with awesome one-liners although not so many as it's counterpart but they're still good. With the creme de la creme of them all; "You shouldn't drink and (ünt) bake!" Ah Arnie.... you used to be so good!
