Review of Raw Deal (1986) by Kevin H — 04 Mar 2010
Probably Arnold's weakest entry during the 1980's, Raw Deal suffers from too many tired old cliches and one unforgiveable mistake...the fact that Arnold has the most dialogue of any actor in the film.
When it is so painfully obvious that your star can't speak the best thing to do is put him in a role such as The Terminator. Well, John Irvin and good old Dino De Laurentiis thought differently and the result is this film.
Thankfully there is enough good acting from Davi, Shenar and Wannamaker to overrule Arnold's and there is also some great action scenes to be had. Decent but not great.
