Review of Raw (2017) by Jimmy J — 15 Aug 2018
Believe the hype. Raw is gruesome; and surprisingly really good. Admittingly it is a hard watch, but not because of its over-use of gore (make no mistake, its gory), but more because its grounded story-telling.
From the actors to the script and direction Raw seems real... and that's what is really scary. Raw is a dynamic "horror" tale like no other with some really special performances. Highly recommended; but not for those with weak stomachs.
Three thigh bites out of five. High praise; Julia Ducournau.
